I was afraid my cityscape trip was botched when I realized how foggy it was that evening. However, the good news was that the fog helped to scatter the lights from the top of the skyscrapers to create an impressive hazy effect to the setting. Of course, the very long exposure allowed for a very smooth Charles River!

It was way past twilight and I was struggling to get enough dynamic range into this photo. With the use of only a CPL and 10-stopper, I was able to get the light trails from moving cars and smoothened-out clouds and waterway.

Boston Skyline Viewed from Malone Park, Chelsea MA
The view of the skyline from Malone Park is quite unique in that it condenses in one frame, a handful of popular landmarks around the Boston area. Featured in the shot are Hancock tower, the Prudential, Tobin Bridge and Zakim Bridges. This point of view of Boston in monochrome portrays Boston city planning as nothing less than a wonderful piece of art.
